New Indian Movies & Series on Netflix. This month saw the release of thirteen films, one series, and two returning films.
In November, with the debut of the original limited series The Railway Men, Netflix and Yash Raj Films established a new creative partnership. Try Netflix’s New Indian Movies and Series One of the most successful Indian films of the year, Jaawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, was also released for streaming that same month.

Jawan (2023)

Jaawan (“Soldier”), the first Hindi-language film by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, features Shah Rukh Khan at his superstar best. The film runs for ten years. An unexpected gang of vigilantes plans a daring kidnapping to bring political corruption to light and demonstrate how effortlessly a government can fulfil its citizens’ wishes if it so desires. Despite being referred to as the “Extended Cut,” the duration of the Jawan version available on Netflix is barely one minute lengthier than the theatrical edition. A unique catalogue entry exists for every language translation of Jawan.

After killing many robbers in self-defense, the normally reserved café owner Parthi finds himself thrust into the limelight on a national scale. Antony Das, an infamous criminal who is certain that Parthi is his long-lost son Leo, calls him shortly after. There is a distinct item in the catalogue for every language translation of Leo.

The 1989 West Bengal mine collapse is the real-life inspiration for Mission Raniganj, which goes by the name “Mission Rescue” as well. The film stars Akshay Kumar as Jaswant Singh Gill, a mining engineer who, following a flood, discovers 65 miners stranded underground.

The Railway Men is the first drama series to come out of Netflix’s multi-year creative collaboration with the legendary production company Yash Raj Films, which was also involved in the Netflix Original documentary The Romantics. The limited series, which is based on a true tale, portrays the 1984 Union Carbide chemical plant disaster in Bhopal, India, which was the biggest industrial accident in the world. The event caused thousands of injuries and deaths in the surrounding village. As disaster befalls the railway workers, an outstanding ensemble cast portrays their heroic actions in saving thousands of lives.
